SALONE INTERNAZIONALE DEL MOBILE 2011 : "FENDI CASA"

Many of the fashion, especially the luxury and expensive brands also started to design furniture and home textiles. It's been many years that they are doing this but in my opinion i don't see any design except seeing their logos of the brands on the furnitures.I will write about Fendi Casa today and share the collection that i've seen during Salone del Mobile.
As a fashion brand i really like Fendi (except the products with logos). But for the furniture i've just seen some of them which are really nice. Most of the furniture they have is simple with this huge "F" on it.And it seems like it's just for people who wants to "show off".Well if we consider the prices also, they just target high class people.By the way most of the photos are taken by me but they were not allowing so i couldn't take all of them. Some of them are from web. ) I also shared some of Fendi furniture at one of my previous posts.Click here to see.

Thanks for following ! Waiting for your comments!

Amore sofa , do you see anything particular ?

Berni dining table with cyrstal chairs. These chairs are my best. You can both use as a chair and an armchair. They are very comfortable, too. If you remember,at my previous posts i've shared the brown one.

They also designed  bar stool version of the cyrstal chairs. The piano(which i always want since my childhood),mini bar, colors, materials. For me it's adorable! I need to work a lot to buy these :)

Flower patterns are everywhere this year.Home textile is also following the fashion! Looks like a luxury retro.
Diamante Bed.They look almost the same with the one below.

When you look,it seems elegant at first sight. But these bedroom is something you can even find in an average furniture store !

Loved this detail .The holder of a simple-normal chiffoniere but at least i've found something nice in details :)

Oh no ! It looks so cheap !

These crystal luminaires; we know since ages.Would you pay for F ?

SALONE INTERNAZIONALE DEL MOBILE 2011 - SWEDISH LOVE STORIES

I always wanted to swing on a huge and a long one in a forest.Well this was not in a forest but it was so lovely :) I've just ran and sat on it and we started to swing on it with my friend.
Anyway this post is about Swedish Design exhibition.
The exhibition's name is "Swedish Love Stories"

Here you will find a selection of Swedish designers and companies sharing their unique stories. The exhibition was including the companies, individiual designers and a selection of contemporary design of the Western coast and region of Sweeden.
It was possible to see different types of materials.Textiles,wood,ceramics.And also the installations were quite nice.Design of the exhibition was good but it was too messy, colorful and mixed. You will feel like going around ikea, we all know that swedish design started and improved with ikea and it seems like they are keeping the same line. The thing i've realized is how much they use wood !

My next post is about "Luxury Living-Fendi and Kenzo Showrooms"
Stay tuned !

I could never think that i would be excited before going to Milan.I've lived there for 3 years and i was pissed of when i was leaving last August.I've really missed the city.I still have friends there and i will meet also some from Turkey.I will stay around 15-20 days.It will be fun !

Piazza Duomo

And for those who are going to Milan for the first time i would like to give you some advices.

Transportation:
To go to the fairground take the underground on the red line and is the last stop "Rho Fiera"
For the bus and trams don't forget to buy the tickets because the polices mostly control.
You can find the tickets from the bars, machines and places who sell newspapers, magazines.
Buy a map, transportation is not very complicated but you can wait :)
I suggest you to buy 2 days unlimited or 1 ticket for 10 trips.

If you are looking for design books write down;
Rinascante Design Market (you can also find design brands and pieces)
Hoepli
Mondadori
Triennale Design Museum ( Viale Alemagna 6 )
These first 3 are at Duomo and the 4th is near to Cadorna station. They are very well known.

In Milan you can find all cousines from the world, you don't have to eat just pasta and pizza.
Eat ice-cream at
Grom (my favourite is crema di grom )
Chocolat (canella/cinnamon and nutella flavors are one of the most famous one)

Eat Pizza at
Fratelli La Buffala
Il pomodorino

Wine&Steak at
Ristorante Charleston

Eat Pasta at
Pastarito

Aperitivo at
Coin
Rinascante Roof Top
Fashion Cafe
Crash
Bars in Brera and Porta Ticinese

Clubbing
Old Fashion
Armani Privé
Just Cavalli
Hollywood

And eat lots of pastries for me.Just enter a "Pasticceria" that you see.I've never ate a bad one.Don't do too much shopping :) And try to see the designs as much as you can.Wish me a safe flight !

HYPNOS DESIGN HOTEL / ISTANBUL

"Luxury with History"
Since i started to post about styles and concepts i want to share one of my friends boutique/design hotel in Istanbul. They've just opened it in 2010 and it's one of the best concept-boutique hotels. It is my dream to design a boutique hotel and this hotel made me sure about it.

It's located at the heart of İstanbul/Sultanahmet.It's just a walking distance to Hagia Sophia,Blue Mosque,Grand Bazaar,Topkapi Palace,Yerebatan Palace,Museum of Archaeology and Spice Bazaar.
They have 11 design rooms with 11 different concepts.Every concept has its own decoration, own pieces and all the pieces are chosen particularly. This different 11 concept is fitting very strongly with the general concept of the hotel which is "hypnos".You can also see it from the shape and lighting of the exterior. At the entrance, there is a restaurant EON-Dreamer's Kitchen with the world cuisines.

EON-Dreamer's Kitchen and entrance of the hotel

Even emergency exit and the stairs part is designed according to the concept ! Love it !

I will share some of the rooms with you! Attention on the card ! It has evil eyes :)

GYPSY ROOM

The mixture of wood and natural stone at the back of the bed and the street name gives the street effect according to gypsy concept. At the other side colorful wallpaper, plastic lamps, patchwork colorful retro armchair takes the first attention.

They also moved the concept to the bathrooms. You will see that every bathroom's designed according to the concept of the room.Flower patterned tiles covered all the shower cabin, the pink mirror frame matches with the flowers and the real flowers next to the basin is the point of gypsy !

Look at the night stand ! I am a retro lover.Love the sanded wood effect !

GLAMOUR SUIT

We see the color harmony in this room. The bedside is representing the "glamour" and it's the main object here.Seems like other pieces are chosen according to the bedside.

Most of the things are custom made at this hotel.See the wardrobe and nigtstand set ! Also the match between the furniture and the curtain.

PASSION SUIT

This is one of my favourites. You can feel the passion when you enter to the room because all the pieces which are chosen reminds it to you.Different colors of light shades and the wallpaper behind the bed explain the concept very well !

The console is in touch with the wallpaper but my favourite is the silhouette of the woman at the door of the bathroom !

ARABESQUE SUIT

The ottoman style touches to arabesque suit.White-gold coloured wood wardrobe feels like coming from Topkapı Palace. The room has a heavy and a classic style,we mostly see the wood and the colour of gold.

Baroque style basin and the mirror

URANIA SUIT

Urania means "like heaven".Thats why they kept the colours so soft and the materials natural.
The suit is a roof-top room. The white wood on the wall continues at the roof and we see the wood at all furniture.

I really loved this silhouette effect at the bathroom door ! Some of you may think it's scary :)

 ANATOLIAN SUIT

Blue mosque view from the window.

Instead of wallpaper,we feel the effect at the pieces they used.

My favourite object is the console here.Baroque style, the pattern of historical center of istanbul is a perfect idea to give the effect of "luxury with history"

I really recommend you to stay at this hotel if you are coming for a touristic trip. It's very centrally located and the service is so good. You can read the comments from booking.com/tripadvisor.com etc.
